A Coliseum that Slowly Floods with Lava

Welcome to the **Molten Coliseum**, an arena known for its particularly vicious games that keep the audience at the edge of their seats. Their most popular game is called the Trial By Fire, where fighters must race to the highest platform while battling each other before the lava gets to them. There is only one winner of this game. This Coliseum encounter features 8 phases which depict the arena slowly flooding with lava. Multiple platforms provide temporary safety, which the fighters can climb through ladders. Rickety bridges connect the platforms. The ultimate goal is to get to the centermost platform, which is the only place that does not get flooded. Only one fighter may stand there. You're willingly using your coliseum as a mold to cast a single large rock and then what? Your delivery pipes are all solidly filled with stone, your fountains--clogged with stone, your floor--covered in several feet thick stone ensconcing bodies, weapons, bridges, etc. The smell would be horrible, the heat unbearable for many of the observers, and your victor is just gonna have to stand in the middle and wait for several days before he can leave. So what do you do if you want to play again? Build another entire coliseum or chisel out the old one?
