Does anyone know of a flat screen that you can put on the table - ideally with touch? Not a large tablet. Just a screen. Obviously, I am thinking of a portable way to use digital maps in my games. I know of rollable oled displays but they basically don't exist for the regular market yet and have a somewhat limited lifespan. Would be fine with an unfoldable but flat screen that fits into a large laptop back. Wouldn't be for all scenarios. Just some

The only solution like this i've seen before is custom tables where people build a cheap TV into a table with a glass tabletop. Quick poke around the web suggests that [this is the cheapest ready-made version of that option](https://www.amazon.com/Arcade-1Up-Screen-Infinity-Game-Table/dp/B09B1FNZJJ?ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.5998aa40-ec6f-4947-a68f-cd087fee0848).

Not portable, but I just saw this short and thought it might give you another place to look: https://youtube.com/shorts/l4O-FXKhfvU There are some comments claiming that the screen was a gift / sponsorship from a previous video, but it's the first time I've seen this guy, so don't know 👍

Idk if you can find something that is a good size for that, AND fairly portable. No one else seems to be chiming in and I wanna be helpful, so I went to rtings and filtered down to TVs that are super thin *and* relatively affordable. Doesn't get you a touchscreen, but maybe one of these would be good for you? https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/table/177723

the issue with non-touch solutions is that they probably get damaged over time when shoving minions on them.

Looks like a solution I've seen a few weeks ago when I did ny initial research. Definitely interesting, but as you've already stated sadly not portable.

                  > they probably get damaged over time when shoving minions on them. Yeah that makes sense. I guess you would have to engineer some sort of screen protector solution in that case? Maybe someone makes custom ones on etsy or something?

Assume you know about [owlbear.rodeo](https://www.owlbear.rodeo/) ? Again, it's not what you *WANT* but at least everyone can see what's going on on their phone

The idea is really interesting. However, phones on the table is a big no for me. It feels less like a shared experience in my mind.
