Cats don’t know anything about our modern horrors, which rules for them -
Tell me you haven’t occasionally thought that restricting the franchise to people who have some basic understanding of civics and at least semi follow the news would be a good idea. There's something seriously wrong when 40% approve that.

Why use the boring regular terminal when you could be using the cool retro terminal?I'm old, but come on. First computer I used was a 386.
Starting to think if my memories are already in black and white.

⚾️ Immaculate Grid 869 9/9:Charlie Puleo crossed my mind, just not as a Brave. Perkins is part of my earliest Padres lineup.

Kelenic, I mean, Komminsk, was a huge leap of faith, but didn't want to risk Rick Behenna on the Cle/Atl spot - he played with both.Treviño was last as I forgot my NL West wildcard also played for the Mets.
Surprised to see Tony Gwynn at only 49%

Hard not to be depressed by the state of everythingYeah, but according to the morons that run those things the end times are (as always) near, so everything checks out.
And before that happens, I hope I don't end up as the third family generation without seeing the Padres get a ring.
The 2040's are going to suck so might as well have that at least.

Things got dicey (as usual), but Mookie came through with a huge clutch homer, and Vesia, despite not having the best command, hung in there for a 5-out save.Have not followed MLS at all. Only watched the highlights of the trashing the Sounders gave to Cruz Azul during whatever cup that was.
Pleased to see the standings.

Not a good sports weekend, so triple boooo.
Oh, and the weekend boxing matches were boring, but there was golf this morning which is even worse.

Saturday stats day!Oh come on, Quilvio was good.
Billy Werber died at 100,the oldest living player at the time
"Werber doesn't watch baseball any more. He caught part of a game when the Red Sox were in the 2004 World Series, took one look at Johnny Damon with his long hair and beard, and wrote a letter to commissioner Bud Selig demanding action."
Billy Werber young at heart even at 99

Nice reminder to start my grid.

"If you ever watched #baseball as a kid, you likely wondered if you could hit a #MajorLeagueBaseball pitch."If you give me 500 PA in a full season, I'm pretty sure I can hit two hard groundouts to the catcher.

⚾ #BaseballLong overshadowed by fútbol, baseball has improved the fan experience a lot in the last 10-20 years: streaming, tv, shops, ballparks. Really good to see that.
I was even surprised
had American-born players in the last WBC, but the team benefited from it.
's are fine, just need a team to boo. Potros de Tijuana folded in '89 so I have no winter team, but am partial to Aguilas de Mexicali (same state) and Yaquis de Obregón as I have family there.

⚾ #BaseballMostly petty grievances.
Late 2004. Their owner helped boot the Toros de Tijuana after their successful inagural season in the summer league. New owners tried to cash in but their greed didn't fare well.
I even boycotted his supermarket chain for a few years.
But historically they have been one of the best teams in the league and have had a really good squad recently.
Had they gone to the Serie del Caribe, I'd happily root for them.
-
⚾ #BaseballGame 6 still tied at 6 after 11 innings.
No way I'm rooting for the Tomateros so the series might as well end today...or tomorrow morning if it takes that long.
