I think Trae Young is seen as a losing player that basically has a net negative impact on a team, at least at his current salary. The other players mentioned are seen as additions that will improve your chances of winning.

Unbelievable game for the Timberwolves. Down 0-16 at home to start the game, eventually come back to get it within 1 point about half way through the 2nd Q, only to let the Spurs go on a huge run and pump the lead up to 19 just a few minutes after the halftime. Didn't get their first lead until just over 2 minutes left in the game, never led by more than 2. Julius is apparently the only guy on the team who can defend Wemby, who had a higher +/- than anyone in the game other than Naz Reid.
