The manifesto was recovered from the suspect’s car after he fled a shootout with police, Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley said during a press conference Saturday.

Bruley said that the target list featured the names of “many lawmakers & other officials,” including the 2 who were shot, but did not go into further specifics.

State Patrol Col. Christina Bogojevic asked people “out of an abundance of caution” not to attend any of the #NoKings #protests that were scheduled for across the state on Saturday.

Bogojevic said authorities didn’t have any direct evidence that the protests would be targeted, but said the suspect had some “No Kings” flyers in their car. Organizers announced that all of the protests across the state were canceled.
