Adrian Tchaikovsky's fantasy novels feel kind of derivative on the surface.@futurebird I liked his scifi and in the fantasy genre his Tyrant Philosophers series was really great, but I've read some of his shorter works and they're ehhhh. Right now I'm listening to his audiobook "Spiderlight." It's ok, D&D adventure fantasy type. He sure seems to like spiders.
