Video games spending by young Americans is dropping sharply, report suggestsYou would have to weigh disk rot vs hard disk mechanical component failure. -
Video games spending by young Americans is dropping sharply, report suggestsTariffs would likely have very tiny influence on this statistic since most video game spending nowadays is digital, and digital products are protected from tariffs since tariffs are only attached to physical goods. -

Looming Xbox layoffs threaten Microsoft's reputation | OpinionIts crazy to me that even after all these years, gaming media is still using Xbox/Microsoft as a punching bag. I guarantee that this opinion piece wouldnt have been written if Nintendo or Sony were doing the same levels of layoffs. Instead just a few softball articles would be made before going back to the regular clickbait slop basically all of the media giants create. -
Sony faces class action over expensive digital game and DLC prices — ‘Sony tax’ means digital games cost ‘an average of 47% more’ than those on disc, group allegesPhysical copies are almost always cheaper, especially if you buy used. You cannot currently buy used digital games, and the sales they go on are rarely lower than their physical copy counterparts. I remember about a month after Destiny 1 launched the Rise of Iron expansion, I went to buy my brother the digital edition on Xbox 360 and it was like $100 USD, but there was a disx only used copy on ebay for $7. You can guess which copy I went with lol. -
Duke Nukem Rights Acquired by Devil May Cry and Castlevania ShowrunnerThat is true. To be fair, Duke is already dead. But now he will be even deader. -

Bungie delays Marathon after alpha test feedbackI really liked the art style, but for some reason a lot of recent games with that cell shaded style seem to think that they need to set the contrast to be negative and washout all the colors, which is almost the entire appeal of the art style. Zelda did it too, and I disliked it in that game too. Shame it was called Marathon though. Game had absolutely nothing to do with Marathon, and didn't even feature the Phor. Also shame it was a dead genre that the only people that like that genre play Tarkov and literally nothing else. -
Sony Believes Concord Failed Because of an Overly Competitive MarketYou don't have to "bypass it." When you install the game, during the settings process it asks if you would like to create a PS account and you just click no, or skip IDR what the word on the button was. Then it never asks you to do it again, but you can still link it in the options menu if you wanted to later on. -
Sony quietly removes PC sale restrictions in dozens of countries for four huge PlayStation gamesThen its gonna go right back to getting review bombed lol -
It's not an April Fool's joke anymore: Zotac goes ahead with its 'gamer fragrance' perfume, for a limited few, for a limited timeZotac? Did they do something about the like 100 brand new factory sealed RTX 5090 GPUs that had 3 backpacks instead of the card yet? -
Xbox's handhelds have Valve in their sights, not Nintendo | OpinionNintendo made a very smart business move that is extremely anti-consumer: They removed themselves from competing with Sony and Microsoft. People don't think "Should I buy Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation?" They think "Should I buy Xbox or PlayStation, in addition to Nintendo?" Great business move, because consumers are buying Nintendo up more than before. Extremely bad for consumers because now we are seeing how Sony acts when they have only one real competitor: keeping console exclusives, raising prices, and enforcing PS Accounta for offlline singleplayer games. If Microsoft drops Xbox hardware, PlayStation will have zero competition and gain a monopoly on the console hardware market. Then they can raise the prices to be whatever they want. What are you gonna do, buy an Xbox that doesn't exist? -
Surprise! Dune: Awakening will have private servers at launch after all, where players can disable taxes and enable 'free-for-all' PvPI actually got Conan for my dad, he enjoyed playing it, but now he is into Helldivers 2. It was an okay game, but not my cup of tea personally. -
Surprise! Dune: Awakening will have private servers at launch after all, where players can disable taxes and enable 'free-for-all' PvPOkay, maybe I am interested a little bit. Private servers are always a welcome addition to a game, especially online only games. At least if official servers shut down, I can run my own server and keep playing.
