You're ignoring the possibility that disc prices will go up due to tariffs *and* that game companies will use that as justification to raise prices on digital goods. Tariffs would be the root cause for both, greed would be the additional factor for the latter only. Companies will use every opportunity to rob you, but tariffs are going to hurt. Don't let Trump get a pass just because companies are opportunists.

Stop buying Nintendo games. Vote with your wallet. Send them a message that this isn't how to win over customers.

On the other hand, what cost is it to Capcom to let players "redo" whenever they want? Some people just like trying new things. This is just a cash grab aimed at people who have alternative ways they want to play, with no real benefit to anyone but Capcom. *I* don't care what people look like, as long as they don't throw a hunt for the lols. And if it makes someone else happy to have a weird troll with an underbite one week and a giant Smurf the next, who am I to say that's the wrong way to play? Just seems like Capcom further forcing people to fit within their box. First it was the anti-mod rootkit, now it's limited in-game customizations.

That's the only thing that's stopped me from getting too excited about this one. I haven't reinstalled World just because of how they forced players into it. Though with Dauntless getting shuttered at the end of March, maybe I'll have to dust off the ol' gunlance.

Sad, but not unexpected. I happened to pick it back up after a few years right about when the first round of layoffs happened. Somebody decided to fundamentally change the game all at once, removing or replacing people's weapons and gear, and while I think it's overall good, it pissed off a lot of people who had spent hundreds of hours farming behemoths. I've been playing my last hurrahs, knowing this was coming. Sad that Forte (who bought Phoenix Labs) just let it die like this, but they were never in it to make a good game—just a quick buck. Hopefully a game like this comes again, someday. They were the first game I can recall that had good crossplay at a time when what was novel.

Does this mean I can finally stop wondering why on earth I can't get ye flask?
