I learned this is the same kind of dumbed down New Vegas experience as Outer worlds was. Ok writing but nothing groundbreaking, streamlined RPG elements and serviceable combat. It was quite useful because I was waiting specifically for Avowed but given how sub par it is, I'm investing my time and money in KCD2.

There's only 67 reviews out. I'd wait before making any decisions involving spending money. APC, GGman and Luke gave it a pretty meh rating.
