So I'm going to take a trip this week and my partner was aghast that I was planning to take my copy of War and Peace with me. She said that I should split the book up. I was aghast because my mother taught me to never mutilate a book.
My partner told me this is a common service at Korean universities, so I do an internet search for "splitting big books up into little books." While I could not find a service to do this, I did happen to find @futurebird's instructables article for this very topic (with the calculus book that plagued me so many years ago).
