@shig Having a kneejerk disdain for AI seems perfectly reasonable to me. It’s being absolutely shoved down everyone’s throats. Tech companies are desperate to make it ubiquitous. It’s trained on plagiarized work. It’s on its way to making all photos and videos suspect, and everything “not real” including things that are real. Oh, and stock bubble.Distrust of AI and the people pushing it is absolutely rational at this point. Hope my tone is acceptable to you.

@oli @carnage4life We had this culture at my undergraduate college. Performative all nighters. Thankfully by grad school I learned better and could study *less* get better grades and be healthy.
