Question #1 for writers who have *completed* a fiction book:I have multiple threads of plot. I initially wrote them as separate stories. Recently I've been weaving them together so you get a little of each story at a time.This has worked really well! As I write the rest is it better to just stick to writing one plot line and then break it up later, or should I try to write them as they will be presented to the reader?

@johnefrancis The machines are self-repairing, and the ants end up exploiting this. So, this isn't that far off the mark.

Like #1Mari Wolf, who wrote eight SF stories in the '50s, worked at Jet Propulsion Laboratories... but she said they were way too stuffy there to inspire any of her works!

@futurebird justices of the Supreme Court of Canada wear red robes trimmed with white fur. Santa suits. I don't know the detailed history. It's possible they had to hear cases in an unheated Ottawa shack for a few decades before the court building was completed.
