But there were sub-cultures. Not all subcultures were real, some where quite marginal, but there were certain "main" subcultures, not entirely identical with "generations", and those subcultures were generally associated not only with music, but also with aesthetics, lifestyle, political attitudes, and so on.So if punks were self-destructive, self-sabotaging, it is quite obvious, that their visual design would be hard or nearly impossible to read, that some invention may be required to solve the puzzles, etc. It is not bug, it is feature. It is their style. They like it this way.Telling punks they need nice visual style would be kind of ... insulting. Like telling vegans they should eat more meat? But maybe just hilariously funny. @mikaylamicIn 2007, I think most Linux distributions still didn't ship with drivers for internet hardware. You either needed to know what you needed in advance, or have two computers. I went through this song and dance several times over the 00s, before giving up. It was only this past year I tried again, and things worked well enough to make it stick.

@caitpYup. The calls for citizens to avoid violence is a call for them to not defend themselves. The schoolyard bullies with assault rifles and tactical gear are going to get bored and start mowing down crowds sooner or later. They've already locked in their pretense by labeling anyone who protests them "domestic terrorists".Rolling over and letting them do it to their neighbours isn't going to stop them from doing it to everybody. It's going to be a blood bath either way.
