Van Gogh was never really financially successful during his lifetime. It shouldn't really be up to us to decide if it's good or bad for all time. I agree that art should be preserved. But, I'm also a data hoarder lolMaybe Van Gogh would be considered a mediocre artist with some rare masterpieces if all of his artwork would have been preserved. Who knows...

wait are you telling me that people can't play all games at the same time all day forever? that calls into question what business people always know to be true, which is that resources are always available and unlimited. surely they can't be mistaken. you don't become a CEO without being a genius.

Meh. Not sure I agree. I get the sentiment, but garbage should be discarded. We have to be able to learn from the garbage and why it was garbage.

We have to be able to learn from the garbage and why it was garbage.Besides, some garbage can be turned into entertainment. AVGN and all the youtube poop using CD-i Zelda wouldn't be the same

I don't think you understand the scale of art that is created every minute of every day. Yes, art should be preserved when possible and shouldn't be intentionally destroyed. But not all art could even be preserved, it just isn't possible. In the case of games, this is doubly problematic due to patches and updates. People can still play Fortnite and Overwatch today, but they can no longer play those games as they were in 2018. Anyone that never played previous versions can only read changelogs to get an idea of what changed and when.
