Dune: Awakening players kept getting squashed by ornithopters, so an update has made everyone invulnerable to vehicle bashing
-
Planetside never needed this, you can ram to kill, from the ground or air. Kind of a lazy solution isn't it? Why not give players the means to fight back or deter instead?
-
I think the difference was that there was no impact damage for the vehicles in this game, whereas PS definitely did have that. Then do the opposite and make ramming damage vehicles.
-
Well that's fucking dumb

Reminds me of satisfactory where the mobs ignore you if you're in a vehicle but you can still ram them to death, and the vehicles are indestructible. Or maybe they fixed that in the last big update as I haven't tried it yet.

Then do the opposite and make ramming damage vehicles.go one step further. If it collides with a surface that is a "player" have the damage be non-repairable. Late game repair skills can be super strong, avoiding that by having a perma damage if a player is detected on the collision would go far.

Otherwise I'd let almost all damage be repairable. I haven't actually played the game myself though.
