So last week my boss gave me 4 older laptops and I was looking for games that would work on Thinkpad T420s with Mint. I got Myth II running on those 4 Linux machines and 2 Macs. I have 3 friends to LAN party it with. Check out Project Magma. http://projectmagma.net/ They’ve been doing the work for decades now to keep the game alive. You need a “disc” to install (available on myabandonware.com), but they have installers that do all the heavy lifting of getting it to work on modern machines. Then the two must-have plug-ins are Twice Born Edition, which gives you upscaled graphics and The Fallen Lords: Deluxe Edition, which gives your the Myth:TFL campaign in Myth II: Soulblighter. I fucking loved Myth as a kid and I am absolutely stoked that I can play it again.

Tbh as someone who played the game since beta, this feels like a proper, feature complete, 1.0 release with an additional class dlc. I think it's a good game and low key wish I waited for this update to buy the game. I love darktide, but hate space marine 2 because its everything I want in darktide but worse, ignoring the cool story/cutscenes. So take that as you will. The bigger thing is I'm waiting minimum two probably three years after the next fatshark release. Wasn't aware of the trend with previous games and now I know better.

I actually googled it and found multiple tutorials on how to activate full nudity even if you're in the US. You literally do just change your console's region, for Xbox anyway.

Oh yikes, that's stupid expensive. Definitely not worth the cost. I think it'll get harder for me to not buy if they release a new Animal Crossing or Zelda, but honestly even then it's not worth buying a whole console for 2 games. Probably just have to play them by *other means*

I've read that there's another fix that adjusted the displayed vram usage to accurately show your actual usage: previously it was showing too low. Might need to go and readjust settings if you're now reading too high.

The thing with products like games, textbooks, movies etc is that a large part of the cost is the design. This means that while you can make the products cheap and still cover the cost of manufacturing, you won’t make back the money from the design if your margin is very low. This gives manufacturers the ability to sell the same product in differently wealthy markets while still making a profit. If you now take the product from a cheaper market and sell it to more wealthy consumers at lower price than they usually pay, you aren’t actually selling at a better price because you are providing a better service. You are selling at a better price because you’re breaking the manufacturer’s business model. This isn’t something that can permanently work because either A: the manufacturer doesn’t get enough money to cover the design, can lead to bankruptcy or change of business model (C), B: through regulations this is prohibited or The manufacturer raises the price in the regions your buying from, breaking your business model and screwing over the people who can no longer afford it there. Of course this depends on the scale you’re acting in, but in theory preventing you from doing so would bring more equality between richer and poorer nations
