Player housing in pretty much every MMO I've played other than UO and Asheron's Call has been instanced so everyone can have a house that is just in its own special space like with Anarchy Online, Final Fantasy 11, and LOTRO. Personally, I always liked UO and AC's system more. Having houses in the world (and actually being able to build them yourself) was always more fun and rewarding.

If they *really* wanted to kill Palworld, they'd just make a Pokemon game that is similar to it. Both in presentation and mechanically.

It didn't catch on the way Doom did. Maybe it had something to do with the ceiling not having a texture in Wolf3D. ‍️

I think it should be a game that barely runs on modern hardware entirely because it's poorly optimized. It would be funny as hell to have a game like that running on toasters if done by talented devs.

I bought a boxed D&D module, not knowing it didn't come with the actual *rules* for D&D. So then I had to get the rule books.

Is it just a search filter or is there some kind of banner or notice on the game's store page? I've been playing The Finals a lot and I often see things saying they used GenAI for things in it but I can't tell what was made with AI or not. Maybe the announcer voices? The way they say "the magic number" is a bit wonky.

I had been playing some Warzone recently because I hate myself, and I had thought some of the cards and banners seemed fucked up, but most of them also look hand drawn (such as the Black History Month loading screen) so I assumed maybe it was just the style, but now I can't help but think they're just AI generated.

Does that mean the physical copies of this game actually have the full, playable game on them and it doesn't need some bullshit zero day patch to actually get up and running? That's actually amazing. That shit doesn't happen anymore.

In Morrowind you could basically make anything as long as you could afford the gold cost (and the mana to actually use it). Oblivion made it super bare bones basic and not nearly as powerful.

It's so stupid that Morrowind's spell creation system didn't carry on into Oblivion and Skyrim.

No wonder its balanced like shit.

If I did anything other than use my PC as a glorified gaming console, I might care about w10 not being updated anymore. Until games literally can't work on the OS, I'll stay on it. And when they do stop working, I'll probably just install Linux.

Like... The bomb mode? Hostages? The whole thing with buying equipment at the start and if you die, you're dead until the next round? I feel like that would suck balls with OW's character mechanics.
