Where were you on 9/11? -
@fcJust heard about a guy I know who moved to the US and it's just settling down.
When you ask about the current state pf affairs people tend to dismiss it with a "well, it's always been like that"

This guy almost got killed by two freaking dogs with a collar. This guy almost got killed by two freaking dogs with a collar.
Barely managed to run away. Dog's owner seemed somewhat apologetic but am still pissed at her, whoever she was.
In the meantime, had to give Sicario an extra meal.
The other stray had quickly run into my hallway so she was ok.

#Twitter/#X is just a completely authentic place full of real lifelong Democrats who suddenly realized Charlie Kirk was right, decided to cross the aisle and register as Republicans, and posted so in identical tweets.Fascism starts at $7 a month.

For the past couple of years, sports has provided me with a tiny bit of distraction from watching the complete collapse of society. The way things are going, sports won't be an escape for long.

The meh grids continue..Tony Mullane,
Hugh Daily,
Bert Blyleven and
Charlie Lea seem to be the only Europeans to throw a no-hitter.
This seemed more interesting to look at than the grid itself.
Personally, I want a decade category. A Shortstop from the 1930's, a Yankee from the 1910s, etc.

On this day in 2011, Mariano Rivera became MLB’s all-time saves leader with #602!Always booed the guy. Every postseason. Thought he looked loke a fruit bat.
However, when he tore his knee in Spring Training, cheered for him to get back and retire on his own terms. Also made sure to watch his last game to admire the best closer ever one last time.

If NBC ends up following the other networks in capitulating to fascists, that will also be the end of sports for me.No Phillies radio? That's how I follow my team now

Canadians absolutely crush improv and comedic acting--just look at the murderers' row to have starred on SNL and in film--but #Canada has tried and mostly failed to fill the late night comedy chat show space. The only Canadian show I'm familiar with is probably Kids in the Hall.

⚾️ #ImmaculateGrid 898 9/9:The one that seems to be forgotten is Barrios. Never read/saw anything about him until I had internet.
And the best slugger never played in the majors. Héctor Espino only played 32 AAA games in 1964 but didn't like it and came back to hit 453 HR in the league, a record later broken by Nelson Barrera, who also only played 25 games in AA.
