@futurebird But, it’s also possible that they do know and don’t care. I’m always surprised by how much my MAGA relations actually know about what’s going on, but they just choose not to let it impact their decisions.

Deaths in bike-person or bike-bear-sized animal collisions are vastly rarer than for cars, but they're not actually impossible, and now there's a smooth gradient from "ebike can do 20mph!" to "electric dirt bike can beat your mom's gasoline-powered kawasaki at the local drag",

@DavidM_yeg I guess that's another reason they don't like "me too" it re-frames violence against women not as a problem of "destroying our most precious property" but you know, running the lives of people who are ... people.

@futurebird Last year Trump had a meeting with a GOP donor with a large stake in ByteDance and since inauguration has been extending relief from the ban. The day after the ban was to go into effect and Trump proclaimed the ban postponed, the ByteDance CEO put out a public message of gratitude to Trump. The White House has just opened a TikTok account. Not surprising anti=Trump messaging on TikTok would be banned. They're now bound together by the dependency on the mob boss. And as to laws, the U.S. is now a post-law society when it comes to anything related to Trump.

@lienrag @richpuchalsky That is too long to go on a sign. And I am not going out for his mean face and his mustache. Also they have not arrested him yet, and they might not. They need to keep fishing to see if they can come up with anything. He's a man who causes violence and suffering *within the law* that's kind of his whole thing. I will be shocked if they can find anything to even charge him with.
