An interesting DM choice to make a drow royal engage in direct combat against an infiltrator squad with unknown motives, much less capabilities. I mean, happy for y'all that it was a good time, but there should've at least been a covert alarm to nearby defenders re: the breach and her primary goal shifting to stalling until y'all were surrounded & cutoff. You took out a matriarch, FFS. If that didn't require teaming up with a rival house (until you outlived your utility, then double/triple-cross, ofc), that house deserved to be culled. Somebody would've gotten around to it sooner or later. 🤪

A valid build in Pathfinder 1.0 was a quad pistol halfling paladin with a velociraptor mount.

That's why my oblivion play through is a wizard with a shield and heavy armor.

The thing is that the inside lock can always be bypassed by from the outside by staff. One of the best measures against that is a little strap that makes it possible to physically keep the little latch in place. When it's overwritten it normally snaps back, but that strap keeps it in place. Protecting against staff is one thought, also against people who *really* want to get in your room like abusive partners and such. I totally understand why being in a room that for a fact can easily be opened by a stranger can be quite unsettling to people, especially women.

This ended up being the saddest session of the campaign.
