@Gustodon OK if we are talking about capabilities there is no question. The squirrel is able to traverse terrain and obstacles that would baffle even the best robots with the most skilled operators. However, I enjoy robots more. Squirrels always make snide remakes when I'm looking for ants near the base of their trees. They also have connections to organized crime. But I guess so do the robots so... that one is a wash.
@futurebird We diverted $18,000+ a year for 4 years from Amazon to a small rural bookstore via bookshop.org. We're lucky the school system didn't fight us (lots of entrenched you know), but our well-funded high school library did a good thing.
@scribblanitea There is a video and music artist who hits the sweet spot for me when it comes to this holiday and others. If you've followed me you have heard me mention #GAKHED before. I suspect that their short videos may work best for those of us who grew up in suburbs. Nothing is universal. To be American (USAian?) is to accept that some part of your heritage is blended with the commodified world. But, that won't keep me from joy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t7rCud5mQg
@futurebird narco terrorism would be something like smuggling drugs in a manner intended to strike terror into the hearts of the populace.Given that smuggling tends to be fairly furtive, I'm struggling to think of a scenario where the smuggling causes terror.Shipping cocaine disguised as sacks of flour and letting them sit on the shelves of a major supermarket chain?
